Chandigarh: Prof. Arun Kumar Grover, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University inaugurated the one week Short Term Course (STC) for Assistant Professor

Stage-III at P.U. Campus here today.  In his address Professor Grover motivated the teachers to reconnect with research.  Sharing his experience and his vision for

enhancing research in the colleges, he invited the college teachers to come up with research proposals and submit them to the University for Collaborative Work. 

He assured of his cooperation to help teachers get leave and get over the technical hitches in conducting research.  The lecturers greatly appreciated his approach and innovative proposal.  Professor Paramjit Singh, Director, Academic Staff College, Panjab University briefed the participants about the programme designed on the

theme “Handling Mid – Career Challenges in Academic Profession”.  Twenty-seven (27) Assistant Professor from various institutes of the region have joined the course.
