Report by India Education bureau; Bangalore: Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC), India’s leading educator in high-end 3D Animation and Visual Effects, today announced the launch of its centre in Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore. This is the sixth center of MAAC in the region. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to train students on the latest 3D Animation & Visual Effects technology.
The new center will offer the entire range of advanced cinematics courses such as, Advance Diploma in 3D Animation EDGE (AD3D EDGE), D3D, VFX, etc. with a focus on offering comprehensive career programs. The center launch was felicitated by dignitaries like Creative Director of Krayon Pictures, Mr. Arpan Giglani & Mr.Shajan Samuel Sr.Vice President MAAC (India) . The making of Delhi the Safari was showcased at the inauguration .The inauguration ceremony will have workshops running concurrently spanning for a period of two days from August 28th to August 29th , 2012. The workshops will be held on topics like film-making and animation and will be driven by professionals like Independent Mr. Abir, Director Academics at MAAC and Prosenjit Ganguly, NID Alumnus.
Mr. Ram Warrier, Business Head, MAAC said, “India’s animation and gaming industry is growing exponentially. Hence, at MAAC, we strive to offer students comprehensive education in the growing field of 3D Animation and VFX. The requirement for trained manpower has increased manifold. I am sure that our new centre would empower students to encompass the strategic areas of this industry, by achieving superior training and extensive curriculum and become specialists in the world of 3D Animation and VFX”.
Speaking at the launch of the new centre, Mr. Shajan Samuel, Sr. Vice President, MAAC said, “We are proud to announce the inauguration of our new MAAC centre in Kalyan Nagar. Realizing that Bangalore is already a zone as far as animation is concerned and has given birth to studios like Xentrix and Technicolor who are now undertaking a lot of International animation projects, we intend to set up two more centres in the city”.
