IGNOU OPENTMAT -2012 2013 Important Dates and Admission Info

There are seven degree/ diploma programmes for which the application is invited viz., Master of Business Administration (MBA), Diploma in Management (DIM), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM), Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM), Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM), Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM), Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM).
 These programmes have multimedia design and technology aided delivery systems. Candidates with 50 percent marks in graduation for general category and 45% for reserved category are eligible to apply for admission. However, candidates with bachelor’s degree and three years of supervisory/ managerial/ professional experience or professional degree or masters degree in any subject are also eligible to apply.
All the above programmes have multi-media design, and technology aided delivery systems, these are offered through countrywide network to study centres
The university will be admitting the students for the above degree/diploma in management starting from January 2013 & July, 2013 through an entrance test OPENMAT-XXXII to be held on Sunday, the 19th August 2012 all over the country
 
Eligibility for admission: Graduation with any discipline with 50% marks for general category and 45% reserved category or bachelor degree with three years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience, or professional degree in engineering/technology/medicine/architecture/law/pharmacy; or professional qualifications in accountancy/cost and works accountancy/company secretary ship etc or master degree in any subject
 
ADMISSION
Admission to the MBA, Diploma in Management, PGDIM and Post Graduate Diplomas in HRM, FM, OM, and MM, will be done on the basis of the score obtained in the OPENMAT, conducted all over India twice a year as per above schedule. (Clearance of OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU. The candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance test for admission into Management Programme conducted by institutions like CAT, MATand State level tests need not appear in OPENMAT).

The cut off percentage for admission of these candidates will be decided by the university
Non-graduates with six years of managerial/supervisory/professional experience are eligible for taking admission into diploma in management only after clearing the entrance test
There is not age bar for any of the programmes, university reserves the right to grant/deny admission to the candidates
Last date for receipt of request for student handbook and prospectus by post is 30th June, 2012
Filled in form for entrance test OPENMAT-XXXI must reach the registrar (SED), IGNOU, New Delhi- 110068 by registered post/speed post on or below . Last date of submission of form on or before is July 15, 2012
 
Walk in admission (management programme only): Walk in Admission (for Management Programme Only) Candidates who qualify entrance test can submit the registration form (Form-2), which is available in the ‘Student Handbook & Prospectus’ along with the hall ticket of the entrance test, to the respective Regional Centres along with the required fee on any day after the receipt of result card, for admission cycle starting from January 2013

'Student Handbook & Prospectus can be obtained from the Registrar (SRD), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110068 and from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU whose addresses are given below, by sending a sum of `.550/- through a Demand Draft/IPO in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi/city of concerned Regional Centre or by paying `. 500/- in cash at the respective sale counters. Please write your name and address on the back of the DD/IPO.
Last date for receipt of request for student handbook and prospectus by post is 30th June, 2012
Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from the website www.ignou.ac.in and submitted by Registered/speed post for B.Ed and M.Ed to regional centre along with draft/IPO for Rs 550/- in favour of IGNOU payable at city of the Regional centre and for OPENMAT-XXXII and B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) to the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 along with a draft/IPO for Rs 550/- in favour of IGNOU, New Delhi

Filled-in form for Entrance Test ‘OPENMAT-XXXII’ must reach, the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi -110068, by Registered Post/Speed Post on or before 15th July 2012.
