Jamia invites Application for Admission through Distance Mode

New Delhi: While admission to regular courses has practically come to an end at Jamia Millia Islamia, the Distance Mode option is still open to students desirous of seeking admission to Jamia. Admission to a few programmes on offer at the Centre for Distance & Open Learning, Jamia Millia Islamia is through an Entrance Test such as for B.Ed., Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Power Generation Engineering, while admission to its other courses does not require the applicant to take an Entrance Test for admission. Some of the special features of the distance learning programmes offered by the Centre for Distance and Open Learning are: 1) The students can study from their own chosen place at their own place & convenience; 2) There is flexibility of choosing the combination of courses from a wide range of disciplines; 3) Special printed material known as “Self Learning Material” is provided to the students, which helps them in pursuing the programme through distance mode; and 4) Providing Counseling Sessions/Contact Programmes, Workshops, Audio Visual Aids and Practical Experience to the students through Student Support Services by establishing a number of study centres and programme centres.
