Nagoya: Infosys, a global leader in consulting and technology, today announced that it has opened a second office in the city of Nagoya in Japan. The office is located in the manufacturing hub of ChÅ«bu, and is expected to play a strategic role for Infosys’ business in Japan as the company aggressively pursues clients in the manufacturing domain. S. D. Shibulal, CEO and Managing Director, Infosys said, “We have been present in Japan for the past 15 years, and have seen strong growth in business with over 40 clients across the manufacturing, financial services and consumer packaged goods industries. Opening our office in Nagoya is part of our expansion plan in Japan, as we aggressively look at targeting the manufacturing industry in the country.” On the company’s expansion in Nagoya, V Sriram, Head - Japan Operations, Infosys said, “We have been able to build and maintain strong business relationships with Japanese clients in the Kanto region over the past 15 years. In the last two years, the number of clients in Nagoya and Tokai has gradually increased and the office in Nagoya will focus on addressing these clients’ requirements, as well as pursuing new business opportunities. We see a tremendous opportunity to support the global and regional supply chains of our clients and contribute to the engineering requirements of clients in the area.” Infosys has been present in Japan for the past 15 years and has over 1,000 employees working on different client projects in the country.
