Aligarh : The Department of Statistics and Operation Research, Aligarh Muslim University organized a week long Workshop. Prof. Arunima Lal, Dean, Faculty of Science inaugurated the workshop.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Prof. M. Masood Khalid, Chairman of the Department said that without statistics and operation research no discipline could move forward. Former Chairman of the Department, Prof. Sanaullah Khan urged the participants to use statistics with other disciplines to get better results in their research outcome. He said the use of statistics is essential to upgrade the various facets of the society. Thirty participants from various departments of studies are attending the workshop.
