Report by Santanu Ganguly, New Delhi: Attero Recycling, India’s only integrated e-waste Management Company has created a new milestone by being selected among the top 9 Innovators in the Waste Management category at LAUNCH, a jointly supported initiative by NASA, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Department of State, United States and NIKE. The LAUNCH program addresses sustainability related issues and encourages innovative problem solvers to strive ahead in the field of sustainable development and environmentally beneficial causes.

 

Committed towards environmentally friendly recycling of e-waste, Attero was established in year 2008 to address the burgeoning problem of e-waste. Attero has developed its own proprietary technology that extracts precious and semi metals and also recycles hazardous materials emanating from electronic &electrical appliances.

According to various researches, India generates around 800,000 tonnes of e-waste every year which is an alarming number!
