Bhubaneswar: The State Government on Wednesday introduced on-line e-admission system in 169 +2 colleges. The 10th standard pass students can apply through this system any time after the results are out on June 20. The last date for submission of common application form (CAF) is July 9.

Informing about the introduction of the e-admission system at a Press conference here, Higher Education Secretary Madhusudan Padhi said the system was introduced in 60 junior collages last year which had been successful. "We have been successful in on-line system last year. Hence, we have introduced the system in more number of collages this year," Padhi said.

Padhi informed that the students can apply on-line through CAF for admission into junior collages in Department's website www.dheorissa.in. The applicants would have maximum of six options (College/streams). The applicants can have more options in the last part of the on-line application, he said.

As per the information, while the last date of applying on-line application is July 6, the last date of submission of CAF in any of 169 colleges is July 9. It has fixed July 19 as the last date of publication of first selection list and the admission for the same would be done between July 26 and 29.

The second list would be published on August 2 and the selected students can get admissions on August 6 and 7. Similarly, publication of ST/SC extension seat will be out on August 10 and the admission date for the same has been fixed on August 11. Classes for the first year students would begin on August 16.

Padhi also informed that the above dates are applicable for all SAMS and non-SAMS junior colleges and self financing colleges of the State.
