Chandigarh: Blood is not manufactured like other drugs in factories. The safe and sustainable supply of blood comes only from Blood Donors. Donating blood is our social duty. Every year many people die during surgery only because of not getting enough supply of blood in time. By donating blood we indirectly save many lives. This is a holy activity which is above all casts and Religions. Chitkara School of Planning & Architecture and Chitkara School of Pharmacy firmly believe in these facts and organized Blood Donation Camp in association with Abhinav Bindra Foundation and the Rotary & Blood Bank Society Resource Centre, Chandigarh at the Chitkara Campus, Rajpura.
In all, more than 150 students and staff from Chitkara Campus donated the blood. Wg. Cdr. R.S. Gill, Director Administration, applauded the efforts of Rotary & Blood Bank Society Resource Centre and enthusiasm of the students for coming forward for this noble task. He also distributed Certificates to the Blood Donors.
