New Delhi: The first phase of the 2nd Round of the 10-day programme on "Capacity Building in Functional English" being organized by the Faculty of Education for teachers of the Jamia Schools culminated on 30th June 2011, with a valedictory session.
 
The Registrar of the Jamia, Prof. S.M. Sajid was the Chief Guest in the valedictory session. Also present were the Heads of the two departments, Prof. Ilyas Husain, Department of Educational Studies and Prof. Sohrab Ali, Department of Teacher Training and Non formal Education (IASE).
 
The Dean, Faculty of Education, Prof. Aejaz Masih highlighted the objective of the programme. A brief report of how these objectives were met by the workshop was presented by Dr. Syedah Fawzia Nadeem, Pogramme Coordinator.
 
The Chief Guest, Prof. S.M. Sajid spoke about the importance of taking lessons from the workshop to real life situations i.e., the classrooms. Two participants of the workshop also talked about what all they had learnt and how it would be useful in their everyday practices as teachers.
 
Participants were also given certificates and a set of four books. The function ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Arshad Ikram Ahmad.
